Property Terms and Conditions

 

1. Reservations & Payments

A valid credit or debit card is required to guarantee all reservations and will be charged at 6 p.m. on the day of arrival if you have not yet checked in.The cardholder must be present with valid identification at the time of check-in.The hostel reserves the right to charge the provided card for the first night’s stay after the free cancellation period has ended.Valid proof or recent incoming or outgoing travel is required. This can be in the form of a boarding pass, airline employee ID or confirmed flight itinerary.

 

2. Cancellation & No-Show Policy

Cancellations must be submitted in writing (email or through the booking platform) prior to 6 p.m. HST on the day of arrival to avoid a cancellation fee.Late cancellations and no-shows will be charged the first night’s stay, including tax.

 

3. Check-In / Check-Out

Check-in: From 3:00 PM. Early luggage drop-off is available in secure storage.Check-out: By 11:00 AM. Late check-outs without prior approval may result in an additional night’s charge.Guests are required to return all linens and towels to reception or designated areas at check-out.

 

4. Guest Eligibility & Proof of Ongoing Travel

All guests must present proof of travel (e.g., flight itinerary, boarding pass or airline employee ID) at check-in.Dormitory beds are restricted to guests 16 years or older unless reserving an entire dorm or family room.Children may stay in semi-private rooms only when accompanied by a parent or guardian, at the hostel's discretion.

 

5. House Rules & Conduct

Smoking or vaping is strictly prohibited indoors. Violations may result in a cleaning fee of up to $250.Quiet hours begin at 10:00 PM daily.Unregistered visitors are not permitted on the premises.The use of illegal substances or excessive alcohol consumption is strictly forbidden.Weapons are not permitted on the property Guests are expected to keep belongings organized and use lockers or designated storage areas.Guests must keep the doors to the rooms locked at all times.The shared kitchen must be cleaned after use to avoid a $50 cleaning fee. Food must be labeled with name, room number, and departure date; unlabeled items may be discarded.

 

6. Liability & Damages

Guests are financially responsible for any damage or loss caused to hostel property or furnishings.The hostel is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items unless due to staff negligence.Management reserves the right to refuse service, evict guests, or deny further access without refund if rules are violated.

 

7. Taxes & Additional Fees

Local and state taxes (including transient accommodation taxes) are not included in listed rates and will be added to the final bill.Extra charges may apply for services such as laundry, locks, surfboard rental, and others.

 

8. Services & Facilities

Access to common areas, kitchen, Wi-Fi and lockers is subject to availability and hostel operating hours.Laundry services are available for an additional fee ($10 per load).Locks may be purchased at reception.

 

9. Special Requests & Group Bookings

Special requests (e.g., specific room types or bed arrangements) are subject to availability and may involve extra charges.Group bookings (more than 6 guests) may be subject to additional terms, deposits, or restrictions.

 

10. General & Legal

The hostel reserves the right to make reasonable changes to these policies at any time. Notice will be provided where possible.These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii.Any disputes will be handled in the courts of Honolulu County, or as otherwise legally applicable.

 

Late check outs will be assessed a $20 late fee.
